Margita Kárná war Häftling in Theresienstadt, Auschwitz und Kudowa-Sakisch. Nach ihrer Befreiung widmete sie sich der Erforschung und Dokumentation der deutschen Okkupationspolitik im Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren und der „Endlösung der Judenfrage“.
