Roberto Tumminelli é nato a Milano, ha vissuto tre anni a Berna in Svizzera, dieci a Gardone Riviera, poi a Milano. Partecipa attivamente alla vita politica dal 1968 a oggi. Professore nei Licei e all'Università é autore di numerosi saggi sull'utopia e gli utopisti ("Dézamy e l'utopia sociale", Giuffré, 1985, "Il sangue e la ragione", Francoangeli, 1990,"Progetti e utopie", CUESP, 1995 e numerosi altri), ha tradotto il "Voyage en Icarie" di Etienne Cabet per Guida di Napoli nell'83. Ha pubblicato anche Il dominio e la rivolta (1977) e Sterminate quei bruti (2005) per Selene. R.T. ha scritto un romanzo, "Il corpo della notte", Selene 1997, e numerosi racconti pubblicati diverse volte, una ventina dei quali si trovano in "Passate col rosso", B&Castoldi,Dalai, 2008. Roberto Tumminelli vive a Milano, é sposato con Roberta Origgi e ha due figli Roberta e Nicola.
