John D. Day

John D. Day received a BSc degree in electrical engineering in 1970, and then a MSc degree in 1976 from the University of Illinois. Starting in the 1970s, he was been involved in the development of the communication protocols of Internet. He has contributed in the research and development of network management systems, distributed databases, supercomputing, and operating systems. In 2008 he published Patterns in Network Architecture: A Return to Fundamentals. He has also published articles on the history of cartography. He is currently an adjunct professor at Boston University.
