Aldren Auld Watson (1917-2013) was an artist. He studied at the Art Students League and was the recipient of many awards and prizes. He was well-known as a designer and illustrator of about 125 books and as the author and illustrator of My Garden Grows (Viking, 1962), a children's picture book. He was co-author, with his father, Ernest W. Watson, of The Watson Drawing Book (Reinhold, 1962). Several articles by the author have appeared in American Artist magazine, as well as reproductions of his work.
