Norma Carr-Ruffino received a B.A. in Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University in 1968, a M.A. from University of North Texas in 1969, and a Ph.D. from University of North Texas in 1973. She is the author of the textbooks Managing Diversity, Creativity & Innovation, and Leadership Skills for Women. Her other books include Business Students Guide, The Promotable Woman, The Innovative Woman, Diversity Success Strategies, and Making Diversity Work. Currently, she is a professor of management at San Francisco State University, a position she has held since 1973. She also serves on the editorial board of the journal Women in Management Review.
