A highly respected and well known woodworking writer and educator who died in 1992 at the age of 89 in his home town of Boyertown, PA. Gottshall was the author of 16 superior books on woodworking. He taught at high school and college levels for 35 years and also found time to contribute more than 150 articles to various woodworking magazines.
Gottshall earned an associate’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelors degree from the former Stout State University in Wisconsin. He was named to Who’s Who in the East in 1963 and appeared in Men of Achievement in 1974.
