Isiaka Aliagan was born in Douala Cameroon on May 4, 1966. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication from the Bayero University, Kano-Nigeria; Master of Science degree also in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and a Doctoral degree in History (Press and Politics) from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He has written works in poetry, prose and drama. Cadence- poetry (1997); Emissary of Joy-poetry (1999) Scars of the Moon -fiction-short stories (2000); Akeju, the Pampered Boy-children fiction (2003); Stories from the Qur'an-adapted stories (2003); Oba Mama -drama(2003); Fundamentals of Newspaper Journalsim-instructonal text (2006); Techniques of Aviation Journalism-instructional text (2007). He has been a newspaper reporter, editor, publisher of books, newspapers and magazines and a public relations practitioner. He has scripted stage plays and right now his unpublished play 'Rusting Times' is being adapted for television drama.
