Binette Schroeder

gebürtige Hamburgerin, studierte Gebrauchsgraphik in München und Basel. Sie lebt heute mit ihrem Mann in München, sammelt Kinderbilderbücher, Kiñderspielzeug und Puppen, letztere macht sie manchmal auch selber. Sie träumt davon, mehr Zeit zu haben um auch privat zu malen und für Erwachsene zu illustrieren. Mit ihrem ersten Bilderbuch "LUPINCHEN" gewann sie gleich mehrere Preise: Goldener Apfel an der Biennale der Illustrationen in Bratislava, Prix Loisirs Jeunes in Frankreich, Silberne Medaille der Internationalen Buchkunstausstellung in Leipzig, auf der Bestliste zum Deutschen Jugendbuchpreis 1971,- und die Gesamtauflage in 10 Sprachen erreicht bereits 110 000 Exemplare. "FLORIAN UND TRAKTOR MAX" ist ihr zweites Buch im Nord-Süd Verlag, darauf folgte "RATATATAM, die seltsame Geschichte einer kleinen Lok", geschrieben von ihrem Mann Peter Nicki. Von Binette Schroeder sind ferner erschienen "ARCHIBALD UND SEIN KLEINES ROT" im Eilermann Verlag und "LELEBUM' im Thienemanns Verlag. Ihr neuestes Buch im Nord-Süd Verlag: "KROKODIL, KROKODIL"; phantastische Bilder zu einem humorvollen Text in Reimen von Peter Nicki.
