Brian Boyer is a Chicago-based documentarian and media consultant and former investigative reporter and novelist. His awards for documentary work include three Best Production awards from the Chicago/Midwest Emmys and a shared Peabody for his work on late-1970s documentaries on the impact of Agent Orange. He served as chief speechwriter for Chicago mayor Harold Washington from 1983 to 1985. The best-known of his books is Cities Destroyed for Cash (1973), which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Boyer is an alumnus of Chicago's Shimer College. (from Shimer College Wiki)
