simon strikeback (he/him) is a transgender activist and educator focusing in history, gender studies and performance. He has been an organizer around queer and transgender issues since the 1990s.
Strikeback has studied at DePaul University and University of Chicago. From 1999-2005, he was a lead organizer in Camp Trans, a a protest and community space fighting for the inclusion of transwomen at the annual Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival.
From 2004 to 2011, he published the self-produced zine Bound To Struggle: Where Kink and Radical Politics Meet.
