Manuel Chaves Nogales

Manuel Chaves Nogales (Sevilla, 7 de agosto de 1897 - Londres, 4 de mayo de 1944) fue un periodista y escritor español.​ Como periodista colaboró con numerosos diarios y dirigió también varias cabeceras. Cubrió la revolución de Asturias (1934), relató la Guerra Civil y la II Guerra Mundial (en el exilio) y viajó por toda Europa, incluyendo la Rusia soviética. Destacó asimismo como autor de diversos libros de carácter biográfico y crónicas y reportajes viajeros. Entre sus obras destacan A sangre y fuego: Héroes, bestias y mártires de España (sobre la Guerra Civil española) o su reconocida biografía del torero Juan Belmonte.


Manuel Chaves Nogales (Seville, August 7, 1897 – London, May 4, 1944) was a Spanish journalist and writer. As a journalist, he contributed to numerous newspapers and also edited several publications. He covered the Asturian Revolution (1934), reported on the Spanish Civil War and World War II (while in exile), and traveled throughout Europe, including Soviet Russia. He also stood out as the author of several biographical books, chronicles, and travel reports. Among his works, A sangre y fuego: Héroes, bestias y mártires de España (on the Spanish Civil War) and his renowned biography of the bullfighter Juan Belmonte are particularly noteworthy.
