Edition Notes
The original blocks are in the city library, Newcastle upon Tyne. The blocks used are from three works with engravings by Clennell: Hive of ancient and modern literature by Solomon Hodgson, History and delineation of the horse by John Lawrence, and Recreations in natural history.
The impressions from the blocks are on leaves 1-28.
...designed and printed by hand...by David Esslemont...One hundred copies have been printed, numbers 1-25 are full bound, 26-80 are quarter bound, 81-100 unbound... - from colophon.
All printing and binding is by David Esslemont, Newcastle -- from prospectus.
