Kommentar = Commentaire = Commentary / [by] Urs Reber; this Commentary (in German, French and English, [82] p.), includes a reprint of an article from, "Der Geschichtsfreund : Mitteilungen des Historischen Vereins der Fünf Orte, Luzern, Uri, Schwyz, Unterwalden und Zug, Vierter Band, Einsiedeln, 1847"; the article (with original pagination of p. [119]-158) is entitled, Die ältesten Statuten für die Lazaritenklöster Seedorf, im Gfenn, und in Slatte, 1314-1321, which consists largely of a transcription of the Rule Book of 1314/1321.
This 4 v. work consists of facsimiles of three vols., plus a commentary vol. produced in a hand-numbered, limited edition of 500. The three facsimile volumes are of: "The Necrologium," a Latin and German listing of individuals and their dates of death, [28] p. (32 cm.), in black and red ink, begun in about 1225 and completed in the 15th century; "The Rule Book of 1314/1321," in Latin and German, which contain the statutes of the St. Lazarus Order dating from the time of the Crusades, written by Brother Siegfried (Siegfried Von Schlatt, Provincial Commander responsible for the Schlatt, Gfenn and Seedorf houses), [56] p. (26 cm.), in red and black ink (this volume contains 4 additional pages of printed publication information at the end, after the [56] p. of facsimile, and also gives the hand-written number from 1-500); "The Book of Statutes of 1418," in Latin with partial translation into German, [17] p. (28 cm.), in black ink (the original was on 8 bound sheets of parchment, formed into a book, with three seals, the seals are not reproduced in this facsimile version).
