A "poster book" with text providing the history and practice of printed advertising and commercial art throughout Europe, from Great Britain and Denmark to Russia, the Balkans and Mediterranean.
In publisher's pictorial cloth binding stamped in red and black, with advertisements on endpapers.
First section concludes with tables listing places where posters were hung. Second section lists publications accepting advertisements. Third section reproduces advertisements for publications and firms concerned with advertising.
