In vol. 1, pt. 2, De excidio urbis Hierosolymitanae, transmitted with the works of Ambrosius, is a Latin recension of De bello judaico of Flavius Josephus.

Among the spurious and doubtful works in v. 2, pt. 2, Commentaria in epistolas b. Pauli, usually cited as the work of Ambrosiaster, has been ascribed to Isaac the Jew, to Decimus Hilarianus Hilarius, and to Evagrius, Eustathian bp. of Antioch. cf. Bardenhewer, ibid., v. 3, p. 677. De fide orthodoxa contra arianos is now ascribed to Gregorius, bp of Elvira. De moribus brachmanorum is also ascribed to Palladius. cf. Admonitio.
