I am Julio Chavezmontes, the author of Heridas que no Cierran.
My work is about the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, imposed on Mexico by military force by the US in 1848.
Since those days, there has not been a single day when many Mexicans are either wounded or killed crossing the Bravo River to the north. It is indeed an open wound, and a bleeding one.
The sole presence of more than 40 million Mexicans in those territories proves that no conqueror can prevail over the will of an indomitable people like the Mexican is.
In addition, we are the backbone of the US economy.
The US Mexico relation is not a matter of migratory reform unilaterally and graciously granted by the US. It is a question of justice and human rights at their highest level.
My Email is Julio-chavezmontes@yahoo.com.mx
