A very amusing book with illustrations by the author about a little boy with great ideas, but who invariably gets things wrong - a sort of 'Just William' character written nineteen years earlier than Richmal Crompton's creation. Some of the stories would be a little 'politically incorrect' in the modern age, but the book is a delight. Particularly funny is Philibert's interpretation of French history as shown in drawings.
