The O.T. text of the Codex Alexandrinus edited by Johann Ernst Grabe, who died after publication of vols. 1 (1707)--and 2 (1709). Vol. 2 (1719) completed by Francis Lee and v. 3 (1720) by William Wigan.
Preface in v. 1 is a reprint of John Pearson's Praefatio paraenetica ad Vetus testamentum Graecum ex versione LXX interpretum. The Praefatio first appeared in [Hē palaia diathēkē kata tous Hebdomēkonta] = Vetus testamentum Graecum ex versione Septuaginta interpretum : juxta exemplar Vaticanum Romae editum -- Cantabrigiae : per Joannem Field, 1665, and defended old translations against the censures of Jerome.
Frontispiece (v. 1)--signed: "P. Berchet del." and "M. V dr. Gucht sculp."
Text in Greek, commentaries in Latin.
