This survey was conducted by the State of Indiana to determine the amount and type of recreational activity of Indiana residents, both within the state and in other places. The state was divided into regions and 572 households were selected per region, this method resulted in a variety of ethnic and economic household types. Questions were asked concerning outdoor leisure activities and preferences, with whom and where these activities occurred, reasons for that preference, and background information.
