Danilo Peshikan is the author of short stories which have been publish in the literary magazines of his home country and anthologized. He grew up in a quiet suburb surrounded by a lot of trees and blooming shrubs. His world was the books crammed on the shelves of his room. All of them influenced his writing. He lived in Paris and taught for three years at the University of Zimbabwe before moving with his family to Australia. A collection of his novellas saw the light of day in the 90's. Filiad is his first novel chiselled out of most unmalleable, unyielding material, some super hard meteorite metal, and made from it a composition of two figures, as flexible and gracious as if kneaded of some spiritual substance. Filiad was completed shortly before he died in 2010.
