Peril has always been rejected. From being a champion of the evil queen Scarlet to a student of Jade Mountain Academy, her firescales and her relationship with Scarlet have made her an object of suspicion to everyone but Clay. Peril loves Clay and will do anything for him. Scarlet, who is in hiding, hates Clay and his friends and will do anything to kill them. Wishing to protect Clay, Peril seeks out Scarlet to kill her so Clay will be safe from her. But it may be more complicated than expected...
