Edition Notes

Constructed in 1711 as the Hôtel Pussort, the mansion, located at 211 rue St. Honoré, was given to the then comte d'Ayen on his marriage and descended through his family during which time it was known as the Hôtel de Noailles, until it was sold by them to Egerton. The property was split up in 1830 with two streets being cut through it in 1832.

Each plate is signed in plate "Landon fils del. et sc."; plate III is a double plate.
