Slob-dpon Skal-bzang-dar-rgyas was born in 1926 in A-mdo Shar-khog, a Tibetan area in Songpan County (Sichuan Province). He is a teacher in the Tibetan Bon-po religious tradition and associated with Zhwa-dkar Gʹyung-drung Bon Monastery.
