Translation of the German manuscript in the Hof- und staatsbibliothek, Munich, as pub. in 1889 by V. Langmantel in Bibl. des Literar. vereins in Stuttgart, v. 184. The plates are facsimiles (partly reduced) of those in the Latin ed. of the author's work, pub. by L. Hulsius, Nuremberg, 1599, incl. the t.p., the dedication to the Bishop of Bamberg, the map and the "Contrafactur Virich Schmidels" (with his autograph reprod. from the original in the Archives in Asunción, Paraguay).
