Volume 5 contains rare texts on local Tibetan religious practices (woodblock prints and copper-plate printings) which were located at various monasteries (Sku-ʼbum, La-mo-bde-chen, Bla-brang Bkra-shis-khyil, and the Mi rigs rig gnas pho brang in Beijing.

La-mo Gser-khri Blo-bzang-bstan-paʼi-nyi-ma (1689-1762), was an ethnic Mongol and Tibetan Buddhist lama of the Dge-lugs-pa (Gelukpa) School who studied in Lhasa at an early age, and was invited by the Yongzheng Emperor in 1734 to serve in the Qing Imperial Court. (TBRC Resource ID: P348)
