A selection of 30 drawings on rice paper, ranging in sizes from A4 to larger dimensions (3.00 x 2.10 m), created since 2008 by Elisa Bracher (São Paulo, 1965), known for her monumental wooden sculptures installed in various public spaces. They are drawings / paintings from the "Red" series, mostly unpublished works, using heavy inks, typical of metal engraving, along with lithographic chalk, oil stick and other paints that slowly absorb in rice paper. The book also includes unpublished works in stone, wood and glass, revealing the production of an artist who transits through multiple languages and techniques. The work includes an essay by Elisa Byington, curator of the exhibition, and the transcription of a conversation between the artists Iole de Freitas and Elisa Bracher and the curator, discussing the creative process and the artistic trajectory that resulted in Encarnadas.
