For the most part, this is a reprinting of the plates and three engraved leaves of text of the 1762 ed. Many of the plates bear both their 1762 numbering and the new numbering of this ed.; thus plate 2 also bears number 1; plate 6 bears no. 2; plate 10, no. 3; plate 11, no. 4; plate 12, no. 5; plate 13, no. 7; plate 15, no. 6; plate 16, no. 8; plate 17, no. 10; plate 18, no. 9; plate 21, no. 11; plate 22, no. 12; plate 23, no. 14; plate 24, no. 13; plate 29, no. 15; plate 30, no. 16; and plate 31 also bears number 17.

Plate 15 is repeated and there is no plate 14.

Plate following t.p. is port. plate of Robert de Cotte.

Plates 1-33 deal with the five orders of architecture; plates 34-[43] contain a miscellany of rococo furniture, mantels and ornament; plate [44] depicts the facade of the "Magdelaine"; plate [45] depicts the facade of "Se. Genevieve"; plate [46], numbered 2, depicts a tomb; plates [47]-[48], numbered 1 and 3, depict sections of the church of St. Paul in Paris; plate [49], numbered 4, depicts the facade of St. Paul's; and plate [50], numbered 5, depicts a plan of St. Paul's.
