Seine Schwiegertochter Olga Gennadijewna übersetzte die Notizen der unfreiwilligen Zeugin des Dekabristenaufstandes, den die Gottesfürchtige und zarentreue Adelige als eine „höllische Verschwörung“ empfand, ins Russische. Auf Rechnung des Grafen Sergej Dmitrijewitsch Scheremetjew, des Neffen von Boris, wurde der Text während des Ersten Weltkrieges 1916 von der Moskauer Synodal-Druckerei gesetzt und in einer geringen Auflage gedruckt.
