Mustafa Tchokay, connu en Occident pour son passé démocratique, fut le président du Gouvernement national du Turkestan. Ayant émigré en France en 1921, il participa aux activités du mouvement prométhéen entre 1917 et 1921. L'histoire d'une lutte de 15 ans durant laquelle Staline et le "Prométhée" s'étaient violemment opposés est très peu connue. Propagande, intriques, liquidations physiques confiée aux services secrets ne servaient qu'aux intérêts personnels du "père des peuples"...
