An edition of Napoléon (1912)

Napoléon

texte tiré de la Campagne de Russie 1812

Segue was a military general, aide de camp of Napoleon during the invasion of Russia, 1812. Following in his father's footsteps, he was also an historian. His history of Napoleon, which was published in 1824 as 2 volumes, was an unfavorable portrait of the emperor. Because some disagreed with this picture, Segur was wounded in a duel.
