Hand written note on accompanied envelope "Hyakumantō sutras at Nara Museum 12/12/26"; "Mr. Shirai, Ms. account of type matrix for Korea shows 3 type & 1 blank circle (?) on back of clay matrix. Tokyo, Nov. 1926" and "3 Japanese rolls (1 roll in the pagoda)" with pen; "Earliest samples of Japanese printing, Horyuji Temple"; and a piece of paper inside the envelope with sketches of scrolls open, filling missing characters with pencil, "Nara Museum 12-12-26, Hyakumanto" at the bottom.
