Published in 1896 it is a compilation of 100 stories. The book is a deep red in color, hard back, thick and heavy w/engraved theatrical faces (sad/happy) on the front. I was thrilled to find such an old book at my local library, the annual book sale... got it for .50 cents.

November 16, 2012 | Edited by 65.188.246.116 | Only just purchased today. Story # 37 was titled "The Siamese Twins" I was excited b/c these famous traveling, connected men settled here in the area where I now live. But... the story was about a story teller telling of his travels. When asked if he had seen the twins with his own eyes he replied yes, and no... "only one had he saw b/c the other had gone somewhere... The crowd decided to end the evening and not put the man in a bad place... not any info on the Siamese twins |
