Excerpts

Walt Disney was so sure that people would like Snow White, that he spent all the money he'd made on his popular short cartoons, and then borrowed another quarter of a million dollars. He spent one and a half million dollars (which was quite a lot, in the lean years of America's Depression) to hire 750 artists, who worked for three years on Snow White. .... Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opened in a Los Angeles theater on December 21, 1937. Walt Disney had bee right. People loved his movie. They loved it so much that in 1939 it won a special Academy Award. Shirley Temple presented Walt Disney with one big Oscar statue --- and seven tiny ones!
added by ED Power.

Mr. Disney was a genius; he left the earth way to early in his life but he lives on through every grown-up child who has the memory of his grandpa-like persona and love for children and adults alike.
