The descriptions of minerals make frequent reference to Wallerius's Systema mineralogicum (1772-1775).

Brünnich's mineral collection was acquired first by the Kongsberg Mining Academy (Bergseminarium); afterwards about a third of the specimens were purchased by the Kongelige Frederiks universitet (later known as the Universitetet i Oslo). --W.E.
