Half-title leaf reads: Trezena de S. Antonio. Parve, nec invideo, sine me liber ibis in urbem, quae patria ingentis dicitur Antonij.

Colophon, p. [1], 3rd count, reads: Lisboa. Na Officina de Joam Galram. Com todas as licenças necessarias. Anno de 1691.

Another edition printed in the same year in Lisbon by A. Pedrozo Galrão under title: Feira mystica de Lisboa (European Americana, 691/116)

The author uses Brazilian scenery in allegorical examples.

Consists of thirteen sermons on the subject of vanity and excesses, particularly of the upper classes.

"Sermam de S. Antonio repartido em duas partes, prégado no serafico Convento de Santo Antonio do Recife com o senhor exposto no dia do Santo, Anno de 1688", p. 147-169, 171-189, 2nd and 3rd counts, has separate caption title.

Engraved head and tail pieces; initials.

Engraved frontispiece bound following half-title leaf depicts Saint Anthony of Padua preaching to a well-dressed crowd with a speech scroll reading "Vanitas vanitatv met omnia vanitas"
