Arabic Hebrew Lexicon

Arabic Hebrew Lexicon provides the reader with a list of nearly one thousand shared, similar, and related Arabic-Hebrew/Hebrew-Arabic word pairs, consisting of both cognates and borrowings. It will be found to be a fascinating reference by students of Arabic, Hebrew, historical linguistics, and by all who are interested in relations between the language of the Torah, Judaism, and Modern Israel, and that of the Qur'an, the Middle East, and the Islamic world. Entries are arranged alphabetically, first according to the Arabic alphabet, and then according to that of the Hebrew. The Lexicon itself is preceded by introductory material providing historical background, and is illustrated with many helpful color tables and reference charts that highlight the common origin of, and parallels between, two of the world's major Semitic languages.
