Verso of title page includes annotation in pencil script identifying date of receipt as September 15, 1859. Printed on antique laid papers featuring horizontal chainlines, vertical wire lines, and watermark visible at spine-edge of page, near tail-end. Title page includes embossed stamp of the Boston Public Library. Rear pastedown includes ink stamp of the Boston Public Library [Bindery], dated "OCT 27 1910".
