"The discrepancy between the date of the title and that of the colophon, and the relation in time of this and the following edition are unexplained ... In many copies, the concluding letters of the year-date on the title page have been erased and altered with pen and ink so as to read "xxi" instead of "xvii.""--BM 15th cent.

The almanac, which comprises the years 1488-1508, appears to be printed from the same setting up as in the Hours of January, 1496.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in modern, green morocco panelled in triple-ruled gilt with floral cornerpieces. The spine is panelled and tooled in gilt with two red leather labels. The armorial bookplate of Belton House is present on the modern, front pastedown. The earlier, possibly original pastedowns/free endpapers, both of vellum, are still present. This copy is printed entirely on vellum, with initials and capitals rubricated in blue and red and illuminated. The text is hand-ruled in red.
