A magnificent portrayal of a little known but important grassroots mobement in the 1880-1890's to wrest control of their lives by the farmers of the midwest from the railroads, the banks, the feedlots, and supply stores. It is an inspiring story, well told by Goodwyne, that needs to be remembered in this time of concentration of wealth and control by fewer and fewer people.
