Edition Notes
The Grind, in Letters to Dead Masters, where Dana Blasconi works, is loosely based on the Last Drop Coffeehouse, at 13th and Pine in Center City Philadelphia. The Last Drop was a hang-out place for the Philly Free School artists in the Aughts, into the Teens.
The Dead Masters referred to in the title of the book are the English Romantic poets.
An epistolary novel (or novella) is a novel written in a series of letters (epistles).
Letters to Dead Masters is not strictly autobiographical, but semi-autobiographical, for Adam Fieled.
