Constitutes the thirteenth part of Sammlung von sechs und zwanzig Schiffahrten in verschiedene fremde Länder durch Levinus Hulsius und einige Andere, aus dem Holländischen ins Deutsche übersetzt und mit allerhand Anmerrkungen versehen, compiled by Levinus Hulsius, and printed in 26 parts in Nuremberg, Frankfurt am Main, Oppenheim, and Hanau from 1598 to 1663.
This work has been identified as the second issue of the first, and only, edition of part thirteen by Church.
There are two issues of the first and only edition of part 13: this second issue differs from the first in the title page transcription and p. 3-5 with different setting of type. For a complete description of all the differences see Church entry 303a.
Translation of: A true discourse of the present estate of Virginia / by Ralph Hamor, first printed London, 1615.
In addition to Ralph Hamor's True discourse of the present estate of Virginia, this edition also includes a letter from Thomas Dale (p. 60-68), a letter from Alexander Whitaker (p. 68-70), and a letter from John Rolfe (p. 70-76). All three letters relate to Virginia.
