Published in 72 parts (i.e. livraisons) between 1824-42. Tomes 1-3 consist of 20 livraisons each; t. 4 consists of 12 livraisons. Title pages for livraisons 1-60 are dated 1824; title page for livraisons 61-72 is 1842. The text and corresponding plates are each dated separately within each livraison, each predating the publication date stated on the title page, and are dated as follows: v. 1-2 = livraisons 1-20 (Dec. 1818 - Sept. 1820) -- v. 3-4 = livraisons 21-40 (Oct. 1820 - April 1823)-- v. 5-6 = livraisons 41-60 ( May 1824 - Oct. 1829)-- v. 7 = livraisons 61-72 (dated Oct. 1829 - Sept. 1842).
Title page vignettes (publishers' initials).
