Edition Notes
Gaurico's De sculptura first published Florence, 1504. Montjosieu's Commentarius first published as part of his Gallus Romae hospes (Rome, 1585). Goorle's Dactyliotheca first published Delft, 1601. See Brunet.
De Montjosieu's Commentarius is followed by two short works: Aldus Manutius Pauli f., De caelatura et pictura (p. 168-173). Philostratus, Iconum initio : de pictura (p. 173-174).
