Includes selections of vocabulary in the Port des Français language, v. 1, p. 412-413, and in the Ecclemach language, v. 1, p. 470-471; these languages would appear to be part of the Wakashan group of languages spoken on the Pacific Northwest coast. There is a selection of vocabulary in the language of the inhabitants of Tchoka island, v. 2, p. 79-84, which is identified as located near the Kamchatka Peninsula.
