Edition Notes
Reprint of: Diatessaron persiano (Roma: Pontificio Istituto Biblico, 1951), edition and Italian translation by Giuseppe Messina of an early Persian translation of a Syriac Diatessaron. Includes two articles by Īraj Afshār and Ḥasan Riz̤āyī Bāghʹbīdī.
"Scholars had originally thought this text a translation of Tatian's Diatessaron, a 2nd-century harmony of the four Gospels translated from Greek into Syriac. It has now been determined, however, that it was translated from a different Syriac text, but retaining many readings from Tatian" -- Encyclopaedia Iranica.
In Persian and Italian.
