The memoir of Princess Siti Salamah binti Said who took the name Emily after her conversion to Christianity. She a was a daughter of Sayyid Said; the Sultan of Muscat & Zanzibar. In this book, the life of royal harem was described in detail and the arabian everday life also included. The author eloped with Ruete, a german trader & settled down in Hamburg. German Chanchellor Prince Bismark had thought to use her . Eventually the idea was dropped. The existence of Princess Salamah identity had been verified by British official of African colonies.
