Signature errors: b2 and N3 misprinted as a2 and M3 respectively; letter in L2 upside down; S2 and X2 lack signatures.

Foliation errors in part 1: leaves 3, 21, 23, 51, 53, and 58 misprinted as 7, 24, 33, 43, 45 and 85; leaves 12, 19 and 49 lack numbers. In part 2: leaves 24, 36, 96, 105, 111 and 158 misprinted as 2, 76, 86, 111, 105 and 168; leaf 149 has the 4 printed sideways.

Imprint information from colophon on recto of last leaf.

"A honra y gloria de Nuestro Señor Iesu Christo, y de su bendita madre la Virgen Maria, aqui se acaba el Vocabulario en lengua de Mechuacan y Castellano: hecho y copilado por el muy .R. padre fray Maturino Gylberti, de la orden del seraphico padre Sant Francisco. Fue impresso e[n] casa de Iuan Pablos Bressano, con licencia del illustrissimo señor don Luys de Velasco, Visorrey y Capitan general en esta nueua España por su Magestad. Y assi mesmo con lice[n]cia del muy yllustre y reuerendissimo señor do[n] Alonso de Montufar arçobispo desta grande ynsigne y muy leal ciudad d[e] Mexico. Acabo se d[e] imprimir a siete dias del mes de setiembre de 1559. Años." -- coloph.

In two parts, with added t.p. in red and black, and new signature and foliation beginning part 2. Part one of this dictionary is Tarascan to Spanish; part two is Spanish to Tarascan.

Title within ornamented border, flanked by Adam and Eve; ornamented and historiated capitals; roman type in double columns. Added t.p. for pt. 2 has ill. of St. Francis receiving stigmata on recto. Ill. on the verso seems to be of Mary (or the Church personified) bestowing a chasuble and episcopal insignia upon a kneeling figure.

Numerous catchword errors.

Verso of last leaf has verses in praise of the author, by fellow Franciscan Hieronimus Vanegas.
