It is about a Bulgarian rose oil dealer, who travels around in middle Europe, visiting the Fair in Prague, a niece
who fell of a rock in ( East ) Germany and died. Later on the character changes into a parvenue who ends up
in the politics. Aleko Konstantinov found his arche type in America where he visited the Columbus World Fair in
1893 or so. A good edition was published by Victor A. Friedman. by the University of Wisconsin Press. In the
Netherlands for sale by www.bol.com for 20 Euro' s or so. There has been made a moovie too, look www.youtube.nl !
