"Después de La salvaja (1989), parecía que Boullosa (México, 1954) había abandonado la poesía, puesto que publicó ocho novelas a partir de entonces. Este libro prueba que la versatilidad de Boullosa (además ha escrito teatro, y cuentos para niños) no demerita su calidad. Los delirios continúa la filiación femenina de su trabajo anterior, pero siempre a partir de una subversión de lo que significa ese género. Algunos de estos poemas largos y densos (léanse Jardín Elíseo, Niebla, Sangre) son incursiones cadenciosas en el ánima que habita en seres alucinados"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
