Finckenstein’s interesting, creatively life, full of the riddles is portrayed compared to contemporary events: first world war, the Great Depression in the 1930s, Nazi regime, second world war and post-war times in Germany. He took place in them as an active participant. He died as university professor in Canada in 1987. Still are found new facts and solving some of the riddles from his life. You can read here a summary of his roman Matka (Die Mutter), the book rewarded by Hitler and translated into Polish during the war.
